I didn't see the penalty be given away at the time because I missed the start of the second half. Looked like it was played for to me.

I did see it and was amazed it was given far end of the pitch but it looked like he flung a leg at Kitching on his way down. Nothing I that clip changed my initial impression. If it had been Norwood most on here would be complaining he was going down too easily.
When I see some of the pens we concede and compare to ones we don’t get sometimes even in the same game you have to wonder why there is such a disparity

Was Thomas wasn’t it. Never a pen. Not for us anyway.

Probably expecting Thomas to do the easy job and nod it out for a corner instead of ducking away from it

If he gets a touch every chance he puts it in his own goal. One of them should have stopped it tho

I think our biggest problem at the front post is that our defenders always seem to get into a good position but just let the ball go past them. If I was the keeper behind them I wouldn't have a clue what the hell I'm supposed to do. What position do I get into? The position for if they inexplicably leave it (despite not knowing where I am) or the position for if they do attempt to defend? With so much uncertainty from the defence in that position every week there's no wonder we concede so many. They need to either commit or make it obvious they're not going for it.

Great come back well done boys. Standard shocking pen given against us. Never a pen flung himself to the floor. Refs at this level are just shocking on the whole

I can see your point but for me out in or around that 6 yard box the keepers got to claim it and be decisive.

I get that but how can you be when you don't know what the defender is going to do? It's a problem we've had for quite a few keepers now. It seems the times of the keeper coming out for crosses in the box has gone, none have really done it since the days of steele

Istead used to do it when he first joined us.

I noticed that. I wonder if it's coached out of them or an instruction to leave it to defenders

Don't know what he's doing, the ball goes behind him, an easy goal to avoid giving away. Still, great comeback. COYR

It was quite strange, like he tried anticipating the cross way too much. If he holds his position, he catches it easily.

Yeah it is an odd one. I did wonder at the time if it had perhaps deflected off the defenders boot but I can’t see that being the case on the highlights.
