Said my piece. Look at the games we've dropped points in relative to distance from top two places etc. Won games comfortably whilst it's been a pipedream. We'll hammer Oxford now on Saturday.
A really frustrating finish to the season. It's a strange one as before the season started I was hoping for a rebuilding job and possible top 10 finish but you adjust expectations as the season progresses. Duff has done a great job to get us where we are but I can't help feeling it's an opportunity missed looking at some of the points we've recently thrown away. I'm just not confident at all for the play offs, particularly if we come up against the Wendies!
Don't feel comfortable heading in to the play offs. We looked nervy tonight and couldn't pick out simple passes. On the balance of things I think we shaded the game but only just and will play better sides in the play offs. This wont be like the time we went up under Heckingbottom. Think both Bolton and Peterborough will give us a go.
The subs actually made us worse no composure on the ball from minute one. The last time we got in the Div 1 playoffs with Hecky i couldn’t see us failing but with this team i honestly don’t feel it even though we’ve had a terrific season overall. Hope I’m proven wrong .
Dear me Stephen, you're one of my favourite posters but i think you need an early night mate. This season and last has been chalk and cheese, give them some credit.
I mean I’m disappointed and think we’ve missed an opportunity to a certain extent but this is ******* ridiculous. Jesus Christ, chill out! I bet you are the life and soul of every party aren’t you?
If it cheers anyone up i'm off to get drunk in the Florida sunshine at my employer's expense. Cheers.
What a load of tosh, double over Wendies, beat Plymouth and Derby easily so doesn't that count for nothing ?
I loved Ismael, it was amazing what he achieved with us. I'm sure Duff will have us firing for the playoffs.
It's like some fans love it when we lose, they don't put as much energy on here when we win, fickle or what? And i thought wendies were bad.
when chips were down we have been rubbish, drew at Rovers who lose to everyone even Wednesday, spawned last minute goal at Wycombe after playing shocking, hammered by Exeter ,garbage at Burton, Forest Green were down and 2nd half we never strung a pass together , tonight we had one pea roller shot on target against a team with 3 best players out, we win nothing this year ,we overachieved and the lads get credit for that, but when it mattered they faltered, look at the table wasted opportunity, good teams find a way
Cotter must be wondering why we signed him unless injured it’s bit odd that we bring Benson on at RWB
Worth reminding people that Lincoln have lost the same amount of games as us this season, have only been beaten once at home, are unbeaten against the top 4, including wins against Plymouth, Ipswich and us this season. They're a good side.
Agree with this. 2016 you just knew we were going to win the play offs, we had real momentum and so much confidence and swagger that no team was going to stop us. This time round it's going to be a lot tougher, especially if Bolton and Wednesday end up in the play offs.
There's also tons of happy clappers on here that wont hear any criticism of the side- I'm sure Duff isn't satisfied with tonight- the effort was there no disputing that but we were low on quality in a must win game- people have every right to be disappointed.
