Just been looking at their Forum and they are obviously supremely confident at the moment - why wouldn`t they be with the run they`ve been on?
The thing that gets me is the level of arrogance and entitlement they show. Does it remind you of anyone else up to 6 games ago?
In the words of someone famous - I`d just love it if we could wee on their chips!

I'd say it stops short of arrogance. They're just very, VERY confident and not ashamed to express that. Consensus on there is that it's them plus Plymouth or Wendy for automatic. There's obviously a lot of football to be played before the 25th, but they underestimate us at their peril.

Anyway, if we were to beat them, they'd just go to the High Court to get the result overturned, so not sure why there's any fretting there.

They’re appealing the Wembley penalty decisions from 23 years ago. Unnecessary stress on their fans..

A very good m8 of mine is an Ipswich fan and the week before we played SW he posted on FB about how they were tracking them down.
I replied saying you should be looking over his shoulder at us.
His response was he thought I was genuinely joking and it wasn’t even a serious consideration.

They've already sold 21,000 season tickets for next season before their early bird deadline. I find them really annoying but can't question the dedication. I bet a lot of Wendys aren't committing at this stage now they've imploded.

To be fair to their fans, I don't think they're normally like this - it's the first time in about 20 years they've had something to be properly excited about. They've had the odd flirtation with the championship play offs but not had a serious chance of a top 2 finish in any division since they missed out on Championship autos in 2000 (obviously they still went up...). They've thrashed nearly everyone recently, lost 4 games all season (which is insane) and look primed to take 2nd or even top spot. Can't blame them for being extremely confident.

That said, I hope we overtake them and regardless of if we go up, that we bring them down to earth next Tuesday.

With the money they’ve spent on fees and wages to get the best squad in the league by a country mile, they ought to be winning the league. It’s taken a while for them to fully click but they look unstoppable now.

Yeh but S6 is Vatican City, Hillsborough is St Peters Basilica, and Chansiri is the pope. They should sell out Hillsborough every game through sheer devotion to the massives.

As for Ipswich, I hope they stay down :)

Think if we win tonight we can over take them. I still think they will drop points before we play them, just all depends if we can stay in touch

It's weird how it's back in our hands again in spite of losing two crunch games v Exeter and Burton. If we win our next three we could go second with two to play.

They're the best side I've watched this season. I watch a lot of the other sides, and they're just freakishly better than anything else in the league. Plymouth were similarly impressive at home for most of the season, but lost a few key players that hindered them for a spell. Wednesday were never that standout, but solid and plenty of nous. Derby pretty similar, but I think for both of those clubs, they've suffered due to the age of some of their better players. They look tired. In the mind as well as body.

We are just a proper effective unit with a clear way of playing. It's very regimented and based on hard work. Our youth helps. But I think it's why we power on once ahead in games, and struggle if going behind. The Ipswich and Plymouth sides play with more freedom. I think it's why we smacked the latter. I also back us against anyone trying to football their way through us. It's those who grind away at it, go head-to-head in the press and battle, they're the sides I'm not as confident against.

So I'd back us against Ipswich at Oakwell. We did alright down there with a very different XI don't forget.

But I struggle to see them and Plymouth dropping any other points.

Football though innit? We could all lose tonight.

    Exciting stuff.

Ipswich have spent a ridiculous amount of money and so the expectation goes hand in hand with that. They should be walking the league with that squad. Wednesday also have a huge budget in comparison to all other teams in League 1. It would be great if we went up with Plymouth and Ipswich / Wendies dropped into the play offs given the respective budget differences but in all honesty I think Ipswich will take the league title. It's a question of whether we can overhaul the 5 point deficit to Plymouth, we're going to have to win every game to do so!
