Do we know what bail condition he’s breached yet? I desperately hope it’s just some technical breach, and nothing more sinister.
https://uk.yahoo.com/news/gary-glitter-recalled-jail-one-162000509.html The piece doesn't say what he has done to breach the rules but I hope it's enough to keep him inside for the rest of his life. It's appalling that people like him can be trusted in a low category prison for one thing but to then be released half way through a sentence is beyond the pail. I hope he's gone to Belmarsh or somewhere similar.
Obviously he has the right to be judged as does anyone accused of a crime whether they have been guilty of offences in the past or not but if after investigation he is proved to be guilty again this time it should be life meaning life as he's obviously dangerous..
An excerpt from the attached report The move comes a few days after a photo emerged of the sex offender using a smartphone and reportedly asking how to access the “dark web" https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...-to-prison-after-breaching-licence-conditions
Where does he get his money from? No sales royalties, his publishing is worth fck all because nobody plays his records. Can’t tour or make personal appearances. Been bankrupt for decades. I suppose you don’t need much in prison.?
Unfortunately his music is on Spotify and Rock & Roll (Parts 1 & 2) have had 100 million listens between them. Rough $300,000 - $500,000 there alone. And as you said, he hasn't spent much of it while in prison.
Apparently he doesn't own the rights any more according to that Guardian article, so isn't entitled to any royalties.
I don't get this British obsession with the nonce. Stick em' all on a desert Island and let the mothers have em'.
We can hope. Although despite the efforts of the other musicians involved all his material should be consigned to the bin along with Lost Prophets and Rolf.
