Do they still exist? (outside of people's old Subbuteo sets) Or are they obsolete, due to the fact that any match taking place within a 50 mile radius of any snowfall is automatically postponed?

An orange ball is far too sensible for the EFL to use plus it wouldn't have nike or adidas stupid multi coloured designs on it.
I watched either a champions league game highlights last night, or it might have been Libertadores where the ball was like a mucky silver.

A yellow ball used to come into use from November until about March a few years back.
    If I remember this right......?

Subbuteo was a very good game. The one fault was the size of the ball. It was the same height as the players. Even the smaller ball was about 60% as high as the players.

“they swing and they swerve as they weave on their way.”

Yep, it was a bit odd. Although had it been to scale, it would have been roughly the size of a frozen pea!

Yep, was thinking about that the other day. Not sure when that was abandoned.

It's still the case that the Premier league uses a 'winter' ball from Nov to Mar. It's not yellow but is more visible.

    The EFL doesn't bother.

They would if someone paid them a big enough back hander.
