Wouldn't surprise me that they're hoping for a postponement .... snow, ice, strong wind and a few more loose screws.
Yes that's true although this weekend might see quite a few games off. I really hope this one is cancelled because I don't fancy sitting in the freezing cold in an alternative stand, IF the East Stand is still out of action. My behind the goal days are long behind me and from this week's reports it sounds like the upper West is only good for Warwick Davies types.
I can’t imagine it’s easy to find a company that will do repairs at such a height at short notice. Does anyone know where the loose cladding is? If it’s high up then it’s going to need a specialist company, I doubt a local builders gunna fancy it, I’d pap myself if they need scaffolding or some sort of lift/crane that might involve another company to hire from again at short notice. I was surprised they suggested it could be open this weekend, it’ll be impressive if they do get it sorted by then
From what I saw, it is right at the top up to the roof, looked like a small panel had come away.Thay wouldn't get me up there.
I’m surprised the West Standers aren’t protesting ‘I’ve been sat in West Stand for 90 yrs and now I’ve got to sit next to someone’ ..
Think they would need to announce today to start putting in plans for tomorrow to sort out tickets etc
If there needed to be another ticket swap for Saturday this would have been started already. I can only assume that we are good to go with East Stand up and running again - anything else would be out of the question at this stage. Especially with the Box Office shut today. Unless the game is called off.
The repair looked straight forward to me - I presume it was just a case of getting a cherry picker there in such short time. If they did the repair yesterday (or even today) it should be fine for Saturday. Tomorrow is the day where access will be harder.
Well my decision is made anyway. I’d rather pay the £10 iFollow subscription and watch in comfort, IF IT’S ON
