Fair enough. I just get slightly frustrated at the absolute confidence with which some people pronounce on the abilities of footballers. Given that something like 0.5% of academy kids end up having a professional career, you can be pretty certain that those who do are pretty good footballers.

    Agree with that.

As far as Jasper Moon goes I think he struggled for us. However, I don't think a lot of that was his fault. The management last season was, imho, by far the worst in my lifetime and he was hindered further by being asked to play in numerous positions when he hadn't even settled into his own.

Will he make it? I don't know. I'm pretty sure I haven't seen him at his best. I am pleased to hear he's doing well at Burton.

absolutely wish him the best. hope he fires on from here. also hope if he does, those who were very quick to write him off with us, don't pipe up this time next year with "another one we let go for nowt"

That last bit will 100% happen. The amount of people who i saw got angry at us offering a contract to Victor, and then later on down the line blaming club for offering him a crap contract (even though apparently it was an improved one) and letting him go for 'nowt' after seeing him perform for Burton is mental. You can't have it both ways, club cant win if they do, cant win if they don't sometimes

The club clearly should be using a time machine to allow them to apply hindsight to every decision made.

Not a surprise. He’s a young lad thrown in at the deep end who lost confidence.

Hope he keeps doing well, he might end up playing regularly for us next year if Mads leaves.

He was definitely messed about by the 2 coaches last season but I’m not sure he ever looked good enough.

This season Duff hasn’t selected him for the league so I’d be surprised if he came back here next season playing regularly.

Wish him well though, as I do with all the players we send out on loan.

It’s clear Duff doesn’t fancy him. He let him go out on loan when we had no other cover at centre half apart from academy lads. Which is very telling for me.

Good luck to the lad. But I’d be very surprised if we see him in a reds shirt again.

Can't see him coming back if I'm honest. Never looked ready for the championship or league one in a barnsley shirt. Sometimes things work out better for players at other clubs. He's from Coventry so closer to home for him at Burton less pressure.

I was informed he had signed a new contract just before he went out on loan but I have not seen it official on club Web site.
So we may see him as a player for the future.

He can't come back worse, he was poor for us whoever's fault it was.
