A solid performance and a well deserved victory, along with a clean sheet. A stupid challenge from Watters, thoroughly deserving of a red card. Jon Russell showed some nice touches when he came on.
Sending off was the best thing to happen for us. We had got sloppy after the 1st goal. Changes at half were good. Cambridge aren't the worst side we've played, much 2nd half Enjoyed that much more than the Accrington game.
Also, 50 points in the bag before we're halfway through February. This has been an utterly rubbish attempt at another relegation!
That was all about being professional....Duff was spot on with his tactics and subs. Cole got my "mom" he lead the line superbly but everyone was great. It was exciting to see Russell too who looks a "player". Yes Cambridge were a bit sh#t but we played well also.....oh and Norwood...what the hell, sprinting about like a 20 year old.!!
This. Said to my lad after the sending off that we can’t play one up top all second half as we won’t ever get out or retain any possession. The changes really put us back on the front foot. I even quite liked us initially going to a flat back six when Larkeche and Cotter came on (until Cotter went a bit further forward); Isted made one decent stop as I recall but they didn’t really hammer at the door at all. Hard work with ten men got us a deserved three points and got Watters out of the shi.t. Still can’t believe the idiocy he displayed. So poor. I don’t reckon Duff will mince his words.
So I’m sitting there at Oakwell, praising Kane to the hilt, and yet I come home and read this. Clearly I know little or nothing about football. Or perhaps…
Hoping the performance of the season will be against them at Oakwell, Norwood hat trick and the whole ground singing!
Just not a Kane fan, sorry! Jon Russell certainly improved things second half and Jordan got another cracker of a goal
I was thinking that there won't be anymore easy games at this stage of the season, and then Cambridge come along and totally destroy that idea lol. Every win is important and welcome.
