The latest statement is that this was a test to look at ways of combatting the wear around the bridge. The bridge will now be restored to it's pre position with new turf being laid to replace the stone circle.

or even laid remotely flush with the grass. wheel chairs, golf carts, people, literally a trip hazard to anyone using it. someone's already photoshopped it with the millennium falcon.
wonder if anyone suggested artificial grass on the approach There are plenty of other surfaces that could be used that are more in keeping if the grass gets too much wear but the patio approach is just naff
