If it came to it today Portsmouth to see mugs or Bath to see Roy Orbison Experience, Barnsley lads, it would be Bath every step of the way. Saw them last night at Birdwell never saw Orbison live but if he was better than these lads he would have been in believable.
That's why I said choices lol after 65+ yrs it's getting very difficult to go to home matches so my preference would be entertainment every time not now and again
You should have gone with Kathryn and me to see him at the Fiesta club in Sheffield early 70s. Scampi and chips in a basket and non-stop Orbison. He never said a single word, not even good evening or thanks, but what a show!!
No mugs on show today Ron. Squandered our usual first half chances but battled for a deserved point, which should have been all three.
Mug strikers who can't score enough goals and mug defenders who can't keep clean sheets must be all down to the midfield
You’ll not be going again this season then? You didn’t see the match today - I did, and what I saw was a talented squad of players playing well. We made errors, as usual, but still got a great result in front of nearly 18,000. It’s been a good week - 7 points from 3 games not enough for you? Cole isn’t his Dad so mistakes are to be expected, but he puts himself about. Collins looks to be carrying an injury and his decision making us a bit suspect. We’ve signed some really good players this season and I’m certain we are finishing top six as a minimum. I don’t expect us to win 4-0 every week so I’m happy enough with what we are doing. Another Wembley date with Ipswich will be a great end to the season, but I don’t suppose you’ll bother with that one either?
Duff is working a miracle with very little at his disposal. It’ll be touch and go if we make the playoffs but it won’t be for the lack of effort. We’re lucky to have him.
My brother is a perennial pessimist. He’s a season ticket holder but it’s hard to see why. We can all see the faults in our players but most of us, I hope, see the good things they do as well. I’ve been around long enough to have seen much better, but also much worse. I’m content with this current crop and more than grateful to have a head coach considerably better than the last two.
I honestly don't get it bud. No matter what, how good the performance and result is, how high up the league we are, someone will always find something to fault. It must be exhausting
So was I, at the end of today's match And the Oxford one. And Accrington........and plenty more this season, and more to come. This is one of the GOOD seasons. I don't see why you can't see that.
I think we have enough to hold off the chasing pack. I'm pretty sure that the current top six will finish there, unless Ipswich's form falls of a cliff. Maybe the 6-0 thrashing they will get at Oakwell will break them
