I take it Granty you go to the game with your bottle of Buckie. That is Buckfast the drink of the jakies.
Haha I don’t mind a bit of Buckfast. But no I mean the place Buckie. It’s about 30 mins from Elgin. My Grandad years ago lived there in an house on its self on the beach just down the hill from Strathlene golf club. Absolutely loved visiting there as a kid. Some great memories
I knew exactly what you meant. Just my sense of humour. Tbh I’ve only been to Elgin once. Way back in 75 when they were in the Highland league. A long time ago. I agree the coast road Inverness to Aberdeen is absolutely stunning.
You’re right it is stunning. Another road from Perth upwards with decent surroundings is the A9 but that is 1 hell of a long windy road.
The A9 is stunning both winter and summer. It is in the process of being upgraded to dual carriageway. So it is a bit of a mish mash of single and dual carriageway but takes nothing away from the astounding scenery.
Amazing not mate. The lie of the land puts Elgin on a higher line a latitude. It surprised me as well.
Aye just realised they are at Dingwall. I was at RAF Kinloos knew they were on the other side, of the Moray Firth. Which made me think they were further up.
English so don’t count and are also in the Lowland league. I checked the map and it looks like either Stranraer or Annan are the most southerly
I believe Queen of the South is more southerly than Stranraer, but Annan appears to be further down. My Mrs' family are from Dumfries and all support QotS, so I had a vague idea that was fairly 'southernly'.
