Lets hope it is, we have had some great loans in recent times, another McBurnie , James or Barnes would not go a miss , not forgetting the two lads we got in last january , they did not save us but certainly improved us .
I would welcome this lad, but I believe Notts County are hanging out for mega bucks. Also I would bet that many clubs are looking at him. I think county will be holding out for a bidding war.
Langstaff will probably be priced at around a million. Huge gamble for a 25 year old who's never played league football and our financial situation would rule us out anyway...
Considering we'll probably be looking at the loan market/free transfers, how about Thomas Cannon from Everton. 19 year old striker who's scored 5 in 5 in the Papa John's Trophy this season against league 1 and 2 opposition. He made his Premier League debut just before the World Cup. I'll be honest, I know little about him, but he seems to know where the net is.
I pretty much always sleep with my window open if I can, and last night was my first chance in weeks. It was a balmy 12C here in Birmingham, after recent lows of -6 or so which even I'm not mad enough to put myself through! If it hadn't been for the temporary traffic lights they set up just outside my flat during the morning rush hour I'd have been in heaven.
I'm surprised that this close to the window opening, there are no rumors flying around, even crazy ones. There's always someone who appears to be in the know, with inside contacts.
Looking at our financial situation, unless we get an offer for Mads that is decent, (IMO around £3 million), we are probably looking at a loan at best & hoping we can slowly get Jalo some more game time. Top 6 would be a great achievement this season & we are currently on course for that.
