Many are calling this the Victor Adeboyejo derby. We're slight odds on in the early betting with Burton almost 3/1 as you'd expect with 4th hosting 22nd. Burton had an abysmal start to the season, not gaining their first victory until the 10th game (away at Exeter), and whilst their form has improved, they do tend to draw a lot of games. They've drawn the last 4, and haven't won in their last 6 in the league. They have taken points off Plymouth and Derby in that stretch though. Away from home they have the worst record in the league, amassing just 6 points. That win vs Exeter is their only away victory. That being said, they have scored in every away game this season, barring their opening day defeat at Wycombe, including 5 goals at Hillsborough. This will be the 6th time Burton have visited Oakwell. We won the first 2, but have drawn twice and lost once since then, with our most recent victory occurring on my 26th birthday courtesy of a Conor Hourihane penalty. That feels a long time ago. We've won 3 in a row at home in all competitions, and 5 in 7. We've also won 6 of our last 7 matches home and away and fid ourselves at the top of the form table with Burton in 19th. Therefore I feel we will get a positive result in this one. I'm going for 3-1 reds, with Cole, Aitchison and Andersen on the scoresheet. Big Vic to show us what we're missing late on. Sam Winnall seems to have missed the last few games and could be injured (I haven't checked) you reds!!!
2-2 following their recent good results. Vic with their opener, we then get two, only for the snake to come on with 10 minutes to go and get their equaliser. It's written.
Just had a quick look on their forum. Winnall has struggled for fitness since they beat Chippenham in the cup. Not sure whether he's back for Saturday, but missed the last 3 games.
Thought I'd read somewhere their manager had said he can't last 90 mins so he uses him as an impact sub. Scored 2 against Chippenham.
2-1 Burton, Big Vic early doors and Winnall in the last minute. You read it here first, get your bets on!
