What would be worse? A: to be humbled by the current world champions whose team includes arguably the best attacking player in the world in the QFs; B: to be out worked by a team with more desire and passion than us despite us having the better individual players; C: to lose the the Argies in the final
Don’t know why everyone has to be so argumentative on here. We all want to win it, I’m just saying, if we don’t, which would be the worst way not to win it.
B for me. I dont particularly rate Southgate, but the excellent thing he has done is brought players together, his man management has been exceptional. The players all work for each other, defend each other. 2016 was a shocking time for England, and he's sorted that animosity out and made us commit to the shirt whilst we're all together. So if we got knocked out due to lack of desire and passion it goes against everything Southgate has worked for
Stupid post but the worst would be to lose tonight. Not really any debate on that. Far rather get to the final than go out in the quarter's. Opposition doesn’t really come in to it
Well that’s your opinion, but others disagree. I just asked the question because I was mulling it over. Not sure why it’s stupid.
Argumentative my ar5e, i'm just saying it as i see it, if you feel like my quote's having a dig you read it wrong.
Just mean when ever anyone gives an either or scenario on here people insist on ignoring the options.
All or nowt for me. I've convinced myself we'll lose tonight as a defence mechanism. If or when it happens I'd be a gutted as anyone else. People know I'm bombastic but I really believe in professional sport it's first or last. To go out tonight would be devastating as it would losing in the Final. I don't think it matters when you lose. If our name isn't on the trophy might as well get it over and done with tonight for me. I don't go for gallant loser tag. Italy and Croatia just felt same to me.
