It's a new ground! Mental that they don't have undersoil heating. Although they did only manage to build 3 stands....

Good thing to come out of that, we will now play in the new year when we should have new signings and Luke Thomas back.

The question that springs to mind is how many league 1 & 2 clubs would be able to afford to run under soil heating particularly over a prolonged cold snap?

Let’s not be all Wednesday about this - we are where we are and this is going to happen - probably again this season.

That there isn't one Championship game off today, so if we were still in that league we'd have been OK today.

Don’t Championship clubs have to have underpitch heating.
We would have been ok if the game was at Reading for example

L1 and below don’t have that requirement. Though it’s a bit surprising that in a fairly new stadium Oxford didn’t install it

I'm happy, on a selfish level, with the decision as I wasn't confident of streaming the game via a VPN on mobile reception on a train from Inverness to Glasgow through the Caingorms. I hope those going aren't too affected and have a great day out regardless if they travelled early.

Because this one hasn’t got undersoil heating and has a stand missing?

I must admit I found that they want another new ground a bit surprising too. Didn’t know they wanted one until I read that link today

Daft question?? Wouldn't it be cheaper to build another stand and install underground heating ? Great result for the Reds ,Bolton losing.

Apparently has something to do with space, will have better opportunities for other sports and youth clubs etc
