Apparently her role in hunger games was the first time anyone had ever put a woman in the lead of a action Move. Is she either so uneducated in her own field she believes that or just trolling everyone?
That made me laugh. And when she mentioned something similar despite getting 8 million dollars more than Chris Pratt despite less air time for Passengers. Obviously equal pay for equal work for us peasants is important, but she can't keep changing the goalposts when it suits
I think she probably meant a solo female lead of a franchise. Her career has tanked since Weinstein got called out and locked up.
She got a bit carried away, and we can all name some, Legend of Billie Jean came to my mind straight away and of course Sigourney Weaver in the Alien franchise, but there hasn't been a lot, so I understand the point she was making.
It didn't upset me sorry if the tone came across that way in text. I was genuinely curious what her point may have been as Movies and TV are filled with many examples of badass female characters.
OK if I have a think about that and answer you tomorrow, if I remember? I do believe she was incorrect, but I also think she wasn't doing that deliberately and she was making the point that women are just as good at action movies as men but they don't get much of a chance.
I'd agree women can be just as good and haven't had equal opportunity of doing so. However her comments were so wrong I find them almost disrespectful to all the women who have gone before her. Enjoy the rest of your evening mate. It's a dull one for me as I'm working all weekend.
