    I hope we get Everton U21s then at Oakwell. Chance of beating them seeing as so many of the PL sides are getting embarrassed this season and maybe a return to Oakwell for Mason Holgate. He played for them in the League Cup this week so he should get in the side of the Pizza cup as well.

    They are allowed to name 2 players over 21, but haven't done so in any of their 3 games so far.

    Even more contrived than when they announced it the other day (EFL not Newsbot).

    Now a 1 in 4 chance of drawing Bolton Away down from 1 in 7 - seems like it's our destiny to go there again!

    And suppliers in the Bolton area are readying themselves for a further bumper order of sour grapes from a Mr I Evatt.

    PS - Anyone know what happens if Manure U21 draw Wolves U21? Do they both play away? o_O

    Remember this trophy in the Stendel season.
    We beat Everton's U21 team on pens in the group stage, but we lost to Man City's U21 team on pens in the first knockout round.

    I can't remember who was in the City U21's team that night. Whether Phil Foden was or if he'd made it into their first team by then.

    The two that stood out if I remember rightly were Rabbi Matondo and Ian Poveda. Matondo who scored one went to Schalke and is now at Rangers. Poveda scored two - he moved to Leeds and is on loan at Blackpool this season I believe.

    Claudio Gomes was an unused sub and as far as I can work out, just four years on he is the only one of the 18 who is still at City!

    Claudio Gomes was an unused sub and asfar as I can work out, just four years on he isthe only one of the 18 who is still at City!

    Think he signed permanently for Palermo over the summer

    So Man City won on pens after an exciting 3-3 draw. No fizzy pee pot cup glory for us that season then, we had to make do with automatic promotion instead. :)
