What an utter disgrace. I'm speechless - again.

Admin - feel free to move this to the "Yorkshire PM" thread.

Who is in and who is out of Rishi Sunak's cabinet?
Updates are coming in thick and fast as new prime minister Rishi Sunak continues his cabinet reshuffle on his first day in the top job.

So far, this is who is in - and who is out:

    • Jeremy Hunt has kept his job as Chancellor of the Exchequer
    • Dominic Raab has been appointed deputy prime minister and justice secretary
    • Suella Braverman is back as home secretary
    • James Cleverly will stay on as foreign secretary
    • Ben Wallace is also keeping his job as defence secretary
    • Grant Shapps has been made business secretary
    • Michael Gove is back as levelling up secretary
    • Nadhim Zahawi was appointed Conservative Party chair
    • Oliver Dowden has become chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster
    • Penny Mordaunt was reappointed leader of the Commons
    • Gillian Keegan has been made education secretary
    • Mel Stride is the new work and pensions secretary
    • Therese Coffey has been appointed environment secretary
    • Steve Barclay is the new health secretary
Meanwhile, there were a raft of changes ahead of the reshuffle:

    • Jacob Rees-Mogg resigned as business secretary
    • Brandon Lewis has left his role of justice secretary
    • Ranil Jayawardena is out as environment secretary
    • Levelling Up Secretary Simon Clarke also left his role
    • Chloe Smith is no longer work and pensions secretary
    • Robert Buckland left his position of Wales secretary
    • Kit Malthouse was confirmed to no longer be education secretary.

Anybody who can appoint Suella to any kind of post has lost my tolerance.

So hes effectively endorsed her breaking the ministerial code. Which is a sacking/resignation event.

Clearly it's as you were. We can do whatever we like and balls to everyone else.

The fact he was appointed without even the say so of their party members was a eyebrow raising event in itself, that not even a 0.1% of the electorate had a say in.

What a crock of self serving ******* these lot are

I’m touched by the faith of my fellow BBSers in the English voting electorate. Not sure where that comes from?

I’m literally done. The ghast is flabbered beyond any reasonable thinking.

Suella was forced to resign 2 weeks ago and is now reappointed… if you ever wonder if they care about anyone except themselves here it is

Lost track of the number of education secretaries we've had this year - see what they do about impending strike vote!

Braverman today referring to an "invasion on the south coast" the day after somebody attempted to torch an immigration centre.

    Disgusting.
