Would anyone post me a few tips for Friday at Doncaster please.
I know nothing so any help would be greatly appreciated.
It looks like a difficult days racing as there are a lot of young horses and ones that haven’t won before - there’s even a race with only 3 horses in it - should I try a forecast in that race to try to win a bit?
    TIA

Very tricky day, compounded with likely soft going. As a rough and ready strategy, I'd be going with all of Will Buick's rides. He's been in great form since securing the jockey's championship. He's in six of the races and looks to have a reasonable chance in all of them. In the races he doesn't ride, I'd be with Dakota Gold (3.30) and Morning Sun (5.10). Good luck mate - you may need it! :)

Half of the races are for 2yo’s with little or no form to work on so I’d always steer clear of them.
However, if you want to bet in every race, perhaps following good jockeys ?
Buick has an excellent win ratio this season at Donny.
Other than that, follow your instincts as you’ll probably do much better than hardcore tipsters.

Mums Tipple is my main tip for the meeting (3.30)…. He’s got a top jockey, going is ideal and he’s having a run of 2nds so is due a win.
    Enjoy the day

    I hadn’t seen this post so it’s good ( ??? ) that we suggest similar things !

Very poor card probably worst card i've seen at Donny in many a year, 4 races not worth bothering with and the last race has got a couple i fancy, Number 7, cos of the trainer and number 8, should run well, good luck, av av a great day.

Tricky, poor racing for Donny's standards, i would'nt be betting more than a fiver a race.

Lot of rain forecast and it’s good to soft already so maybe stay in the bar !

When it's wet don't bet. If you feel the need go with decent jockey trainer combos and value in the mud. There will be some short priced flops.

    Thanks everyone.
It’s a family fun day out so it looks like small bets on every race in between the drinking and the food!

As you know, you don’t get more short priced flops than at a rain sodden Ponte.
If the going didn’t get ‘em, the uphill finish would !

It's the 3 to the 2 at Ponte that finds em' out :). I've seen some absolutely cantering but they don't go on again after quickening going up the hill. Good jockeys either kick early and stretch the field or time it right. Very rare you get a hammer and tongs finish at Ponte. Unless it's a world beater it's canny riding that wins the day.

Yeah you’re spot on … right after the sharp bend they’re hit with the steady incline to the final furlong.

I reckon the best swimmer amongst the jockeys will win it. In a time of 2 hours 34 minutes.

Best swimmers usually take nine months to get to the finish. Slow and steady wins the race. :D

Relatively dry day with odd shower. Wouldn't be surprised if half of Newmarket turn round and go home leaving us with egg and spoon races after recent deluge.

    It’s reportedly heavy now

Cheers chaps! Buick only managed one winner. Morning Sun was a NR. So 7 bets; winners at 9/4 and 13/2. 7 points staked; 10.75 points returned. 3.75 points profit = 54% profit on stakes. Not exciting, but a minor miracle given the deteriorating going! :)
