Out of the people likely to stand, I'd prefer mordaunt just seems a bit more down to earth than the others. But it's just mp's this time, likely to be Sunak? Shame we can't just have a GE. We need a massive change in direction and fresh ideas not just the normal things which end up helping the more wealthy. The fixed term act stops that happening. If and when Labour get into power, will they change it or equally not want to be held to account as the Tories.

They did, but there would still have to be a no-confidence vote to trigger an election as far as I'm aware. Not sure very many Tories would vote to put themselves out of a job.
