    Played in Europe tonight for Hearts. He was a second half substitute in a 5-1 defeat vs Fiorentina.

    Bit of a step up for him, it must be said.

    Not sure about this mate. He could go to Azerbaijan and play for Qarabag, then he'd also be playing in a European competition today. I get the point you're trying to make though

    I think I probably didn't phrase it very well.

    12 months ago, he was performing averagely in a poor championship team against teams like Bristol City, Hull and Reading. He's struggled to nail down a place in a league where he's regularly facing sides like St Mirren and Ross County. And last night, he was playing Fiorentina in Europe. Its a step up in quality of the opposition from what he's used to.

    The last thing I wanted to get into was another English vs Scottish football debate :D

    I always thought Toby had lots of potential. The Hearts fans liked him when he went on loan, not really followed how he's got on since.
