Not funny given the circumstances mate. And I'm not saying that to make you feel bad or whatever, it's just worth pointing out.
I hope the individual concerned gets all the help they need now, into the future & the situation is resolved safely.
Must still be shut as it’s really busy with traffic on Park Road and Dodworth Road when it would be quiet by now.
Neither is jumping off a bridge into traffic and bringing an innocent driver into it. There's enough help out there, I hope they've seeked that help.
Unfortunately people in such a poor mental state are often beyond rational thought processes and need the help and kindness of others to recover.
Some drivers have come back in late this evening, and saying that the queues on the M1 were massive. I think its cleared by now though.
Took me 2 hours to get home (Tarn) from Chesterfield 5.15 to 7.15. Came through Sheffield on A61 then up through Pilley, Round Green Lane and Ward Green. In the opposite direction there was a queue from Stainborough Castle all the way to Birdwell.
What an ignorant view. People who tend to be in this situation do so as a last resort and are very unwell. They are not in a place to consider the impact on others. I hope none of your family ever have to go through it.
Yeah but it made some people late home for their tea ! Absolutely no thought for what made he or she be that desperate its all about how i am is inconvenienced, hopefully it ended well and they are getting the help they need.
Tell me about it. The amount of times I hear, "I don't talk to my parents about it because they just don't get it/ tell me to get a grip/ man up/ just a phase"... pretty much daily. And people wonder why someone ends up on a bridge.
This in a nutshell, I tried speaking to different people family friends even work colleagues and nobody wanted to know to the point that all it did was leave me feeling more isolated and alone, so now I don't bother I've found Solis and comfort in nature, green spaces, birdsong and watching wildlife are my medicine and therapy now, it works for me better than anything else nowadays and touch wood it's kept me off motorway bridges and train tracks
