To be fair last season City's top scorer in the league was De Bruyne with 15! Season before was Gündoğan with 13. They won the league both years. Before this year City's goals were spread out a lot over the team. Well they still are, Haaland has just got extra on top of that...
Aye but as you suggest, that's without a striker. Adding a striker with the record of Haaland was always going to change that - and to say he'd only get 15 is laughable! Sterling got 20 a season and he can't finish. Incredible talent
If he'd been playing for us at Fleetwood he'd have got on every one of those balls across the six yard box that evaded Norwood and Cole. And that's not a criticism of Norwood or Cole. He'd have got about six. I've never seen anything like him.
In some multi-parallel universe he IS playing for us. Trouble is that he's getting no service from the wings or midfield so isn't scoring any goals. We sell him for a pittance to Luton. Nothing much changes in these other universes.
tbf he's made every other game look just as easy. 3 hat tricks already in his first 8 PL games. 14 in 8 in the PL, 3 in 2 in CL. just phenomenal. he looks physically unstoppable.
Bet Haaland loved battering Man U and thinking of Roy Keane steaming himself into oblivion. No team talk needed on derby day!
I’ve not seen a more complete centre forward in my time. He’s an absolute monster. And I did think he’d come over here and tear it up. Not quite to the level or as quickly as has proven - but still. I’m only slightly surprised. He’s unbelievable. He also says he wants to try other leagues. So I imagine he’ll be at city maybe three years, what on earth would his transfer fee be in three years? When he’s 25 and about to hit his peak years when he’s at his best? Beggars belief.
