If we'd lost 3-1 there would have been twenty times more posts, it's the way of this board in recent times. I thought we'd be up there by the end of the season because the leagues poor, still stand by that, but most were still clinging on to that Robert guys post in the summer because he got lucky with his previous season's prediction.
We are starting to look like a team again . Players are busting a gut for each other . They all want the ball and the running off the ball is great. Williams yesterday was superb I thought . Cole looks a different player to one I've seen. Huge credit to Duff and the coaching staff .
There was a lovely photo of Ronnie's at the time, from behind the goal. Casually looking over his shoulder, watching it roll over the line.. It was away somewhere, didn't see it. I remember Super John's though, home to Blades, premier promotion season. Lovely goal from Nicky Eaden too, ghosting in from nowhere, on the end of a great pass from Tommo.. happy days..
If the team and manager are as good as some on here are saying, I just hope we can hang on to them for at least a couple of seasons to give them the chance to achieve something significant but we're Barnsley, aren't we, so I'm not holding my breath.
This. A distinct lack of balance on this site from some. Maybe that’s what being a fan means. We’re not about to win the Champions League and unlikely to fall into the National League. Duff may be ‘the greatest Manager since Wilson’ but he might turn out to be hopeless. It’s September and we’ve played 10 games. Any chance of a bit of perspective? What we actually have evidence of is, a badly run Club that’s trying to turn things around off the pitch and a ‘work in progress’ on the pitch. After recent seasons, that doesn’t look too bad at the moment.
Why worry about something that 'might' happen in the future? Just enjoy it whilst it's good. It's the best we've played (with fans in the stadium) for 3 years.
You've got rose-tinted spectacles on. With the above scenario we're destined for non-league oblivion, if not administration and to be the next Bury.
