Apparently the government plans to borrow £100b as a temporary support package for energy bills. How much would it cost to buy a controlling stake in BP?
How do we control inflation...? I know - print more money!! Trading at 1.15 against the Dollar today from 1.40 a year ago.
Just seen that you have no exit fees, in that case there’s nothing to think about and you’re worrying over nothing. You’ve got the surety of a fixed deal if she does nowt and the ability to cancel for free if she does. They can’t stop you from exiting onto that tariff as it isn’t a tariff, or if it is it’s the ‘I don’t have a tariff, tariff’. It’s the standard price for people who don’t have a deal, which you won’t have, if you cancel.
Why is Tim Martin making noises about still opening all hours? Wouldn't some of his premises be a nightmare to light/heat?
Be the same as others per square metre probably. Be interesting to see how JDW go though if it really hits the fan. Some people will downgrade because that's all they can afford, but then some who eat and drink there already because it's affordable, might not be able to go out at all.
Especially with rumours now of the cap being fixed at the equivalent of £2500 for average bills. My current fix for example is actually below that.
Been told today that our revised predicted electric bill for next year is a cool half a million quid. Norwood headed a ball into the net though so it's all good
If the bill was half a million and we had lost on Saturday things wouldn't be any better I suppose. I really hope relief is coming from small businesses. If it doesn't the next few months will be horrific.
millionaire spends millions opening wanders paradise while shutting other business and moaning about costs. Hopefully he allegedly managed to keep his hands to himself while doing so.
What you’ve said there makes no sense at all and a terrible use of ‘allegedly’. The company spent money. Not the individual. Keep up.
The Energy companies are wanting Gov subsidies which suggests their supply business is in trouble and worth nothing , just take them over
The more comments I see on social media about energy prices it becomes painfully clear how many people don't understand the difference between how much they pay by direct debit and how they are charged for usage.
This x million. Direct debit payments have literally zero to do with the tariff you're on. They are in no way even relevant.
L Try a comprehension test. Though I get you are right it’s a bit more than allegedly isn’t it. The company can’t afford to keep its ongoing businesses going but can open new premises. Disaster capitalism at its finest
Here's the sentence that you typed out - 'Hopefully he allegedly managed to keep his hands to himself while doing so'. Not sure an comprehension test will get me to figure out that one but sign me up anyway. Feels like a repeat of Saturday this. Jimmy throwing out posts with very little behind them and not really explaining the accusations he's struggling to make. At least these aren't directed specifically at me though. Small wins and all that. The new premises being opened were funded and signed for two years ago. Would you rather companies just cancelled their plans and hand back the 200+ plus jobs they've created? Also ignoring that all employed staff were kept in employment despite having to close businesses that were losing money.
