But keep the feet on the ground. Enjoy the bragging rights against the piggies but all focus must now be on beating Portsmouth on Saturday. Enjoy your Saturday night
We are at home to wee Lee’s Hibs. Won’t be easy. Nothing is these days for us. But thanks for your interest.
To be honest, it's all about betting one over on your fellow supporters. beating Wednesday away is just a bonus..
Not sure what you are on about but I’m having a few drinks in the house tonight celebrating our point and your win. That’s enough for me
United have done well since the devastating defeat. Small steps, perhaps, but definitely steps in the right direction.
You can call our win your win. That's what i mean. Then you're not just stuck drowning your sorrows each week with an abacus for company to count how many DUFC have let in.
Long story mate. Dundee had a huge influx of Irish immigrants at the start of the 20th century to service our booming jute industry. At the time only one team in Dundee so a new club was brought into being to give the Irish something to cling on to. So Dundee Hibernian was born 1909. So like Glasgow had Celtic and Edinburgh he’d Hibs we also had an Irish team. But sectarian violence was the norm day in day out in Dundee and the club hit hard times. Then it was decided to disassociate themselves from the Irish connection and the club applied to become Dundee city. But Dundee objected saying they were the city club so Dundee United were born in 1923. We struggled for years then in around 59/60 got promoted and have since grown to be the dominant team in the city. So **** that pompous lot across the road. I’ve been attending Tanny since perhaps around 1964. Thanks Dad.
