    There’s loads of free agents we could look at giving deals to, all scored a ridiculous amount of goals.

    Craig Bellamy, Mark Viduka, Jon Macken & Bruce Dyer to name a few….

    Pointless getting a free agent now. Wouldn't be fit till January anyway......

    We got Norwood in half way through pre season and he's still miles off it so getting one in without any pre season at all won't help......

    I've looked through the free agents list, there isn't many (based in this country) who I'd take/think we could reasonably afford.

    I know I'll cause a meltdown by saying this, but the only one who I think we could remotely afford and if he kept fit, might do a job......

    This has crossed my mind too. He's scored 15 goals in the last 4 seasons, so not many. He played 22 games last season, 30 the year before. So probably still injury prone.

    Looking at their records, Norwood is far superior. Cole and Aitchison scored more than him last season. Even March scored the same number, in the league above.

    BUT.... we know he can finish. We're short on depth there. And it'd be a bit of feel good value. I'd enjoy it, even if it's not the smartest move!

    I disagree with the feel good aspect. Very few would welcome Winnall back after the way he left.

    I reckon Khaled is banking on Jalo breaking through and making a name for himself.

    Then we can flog him in January to fill whichever money hole we'll have at the time.

    I wonder if Duff will be under pressure to pick Jalo now as other Head Coaches have had their hand pushed by the board regarding team selection. (Oduor up front springs to mind).
