Nah it was a voucher for a free pukka pie when he buys a pint and £5 off full price training gear when it’s already on sale …
If we were the best team in the first half we are well and truly fubarred battered from minute 1 to 90
Theres absolutely no way that they were 'better' than us in that first half, despite the fact that they led at half time. So I agree with what Duff says there, although I hope he gave them a rollocking behind closed doors, for the appalling second half collapse. It dun't help either though when you've got incompetent officials allowing Wycombe to push and pull and kick and get away with things, that they shouldn't be allowed to.
I am still annoyed about how bad it was yesterday - but they did nothing before their goal on 37 minutes. Duff’s actual words appear to be a match for my thoughts - not a lot in it but we were on top. Their keeper had made a few saves and we’d dallied on the ball in the final third countless times. The second half was an abomination. The first half wasn’t as bad. Frustrating, but not infuriating like the second.
For me in the first half they did exactly what they wanted to. Their game plan was working perfectly. Ours wasnt working at all. We might have had more of the ball but we weren't achieving anything whereas they were achieving what they set out to do. Spoiling things. That's why I say they were better than us first half. They weren't prettier or anything but they were better than us at what they wanted to do
Too add to that, his word son the chron certainly echo my thoughts https://www.barnsleychronicle.com/a...rA7HLaqpyyLCLpkfywGasxFGfQLvYgks5RGm1KiwUD2Kg
