    Thats an interesting choice of photo.

    Call me a traditionalist, but I wouldn't stick someone doing what looks like a Nazi Salute as the main photo.

    Whilst I appreciate that a still capture is just a moment in time - the bloke could be in the middle of a wave or something, but it doesn't look great.

    Think the way his fingers are spread is not in the least akin to a nazi salute. It's a common gesture. Not offensive in any way.
    Bit like the V sign. Depending on which way the fingers are presented.

    Yeah like I say, a photo is a split second capture. And I'm probably stereotyping him a little bit - which is poor on my part.

    Still wouldn't have used that particular photo though.

    But as much as anyone, I think the nazi salute is among the worst gestures anyone can make. Hate it with a passion.

    We've certainly switched onto monetising the crap out of the website. I'd noted the ads on ifollow footage (annoyingly a few seconds in so it often breaks up an intro and fragments a question at an interview) but not so much on general pages. But neither enhance the experience of digesting news. I know we need every penny we can get, but still a shame we're resorting to this.

    At least we've not quite descended to say a reach plc site, yet.
