Just heard the news regarding Hex and I'd like to thank you both for your quick actions regarding this matter. As members of the Supporters Trust you get in my opinion loads of grief (especially Loko) for bringng realism and facts to quell the hysteria that appears on this forum from time to time.In my view your actions on behalf of the supporters hastened the inquiry and termination of this sponsorship deal. For what its worth the crypto market seems to appeal to the younger members of our society.Instead of Khalid or Julie Ann taking the flak could it be possible young James had some involvement brokering this deal and if so would that qualify him for the lynch mob.? Once again a big well done, lets get back to football and the team.
I hope, in the future, fans give them a little more patience. The amount of fans (especially on Twitter) slagging the supporters trust off for not doing anything was ridiculous - and it turned out they just didnt see what the supporters trust had already done. People can't wait to bash other people/club etc. A lot eagerly looking for it. Needs to change a little
No idea how the deal got done but wouldn't surprise me if we went out to an agency when the previous deal fell through. Of course, more due diligence should have been done on the deal and I'm sure questions will be asked internally but I can see how it might happen when the pressure's on, and there's not time to look into every detail. I think that's for the board to look at. No point in a witch hunt when we don't have any facts at all.
Can't see the point in. "We must have someone to blame NOW!!!" mentality. Let the dust settle and chill the f**k out...
If this deal proves anything, it's that people should be more patient with the club. I'm not saying for a second that the club rushed a deal through because of the comments on twitter about us not having a sponsor. But of course, there's no guarantee that it didn't play a part in them being in a rush to get something done before the first home game of the season. Thank you Loko and Gally for all you do. You often go under appreciated, but you deserve credit where its due.
Credit where credit is due, but I think it's in the best interests of Barnsley Fans to get to the bottom of this and the other crazy decisions that have been made over the last 18 months. It doesn't just end now the club have been forced to pull the plug. BFCST keep up the good work and be the voice of the Barnsley Fans.
Top post BMW. Strongly agree with your comments regarding Gally and Loko. None of us know who brokered the deal but your comment regarding young James might or might not be true. What is true however, is that the lynch mob need to start untying the noose and put away the pitchforks until we know more. The feeding frenzy on here is a disgrace, particularly with regard to Khaled.
Did you ever consider giving out that praise without slagging off your fellow fans and singling out one of the Board for an unfounded musing? Just a thought.
Where have I slagged off my fellow supporter? The mention of the board for unfounded musing,do you mean like Khaled and in in some cases Julie Ann have had to put up with.
I disagree with this love in for Loko & Gally. There’s no excuse whatsoever ever for them not to have organised a March on Oakwell with burning torches demanding Khaled was thrown out to the baying mob to be burnt Wicker man style.
The right decision has been made. Can Shaw Carpets rustle up a few grand now & make my life complete?
Back in the day James Brown used to emerge from a rolled up carpet. Sure Jalo could do the same & score a winner.
Or if you are a bit older didn’t Cleopatra do that as well. At least Amanda Barrie did in in the historical film carry on Cleo
I agree to an extent 55 but Khaled has to have been heavily involved in this deal and it's been a disaster and is another tick in his debit column. I've highlighted in other posts that he got the Duff deal done and can't see he's done anything wrong or particularly outstanding on the transfer front. He's on a healthy salary to head up the day to day running of the club though and should be accountable for what goes on at the club I'm not advocating a witch hunt but, from the outside looking in, I feel we should be looking for a better overall performance.
Your point is well made, as it usually is on here. However we really have no idea who was responsible for brokering the deal with Hex; nor do we have any idea as to the process which was followed in setting up the deal. Wrong just don't know. I think you're one of the most reasonable posters on here and I commend your comment on the witch hunt. In terms of Khaleds overall performance, whilst many clearly think its mediocre, I would still maintain that we don't know how involved he was with the cluster f. u . c. k arrangement with hex; but by the same token, neither do we know how instrumental he has been in changing the clubs philosophy on the make up of the management team, player recruitment, reconnecting the fans with the club etc. If one looks at the incomings this summer many of them point to the fact that Khaled was the one who sold the Club to them. I guess my point is that many seem quick to point the finger at the man without taking all the facts into account. That's football. That's life. V sad.
