It's only working if they have a positive effect on our first team, isn't it? I'm not claiming they won't, and I hope they do, but this in itself isn't cause for celebration, unless I've missed something.
I think the point is that if we had no graduates worth contracts then we would be failing but the fact that we have a decent crop making progress means that the academy is doing a good job, it is now up to the club to insure that these lads get the best coaching & opportunities at the next stage of their development to continue with their progression so that the club indeed does eventually benefit & incidentally I believe it is a reason to celebrate , if it was my son or grandson who had made this stage I would be as proud as punch , I say well done lads now kick on & all the best for the future .
