I was just referring to actual prices, if you go into capping etc you then have to take into account other living costs and stuff like Germany allowing themselves to be overly committed to Russian gas. Anyway Tbh totally regretted commenting on this and breaking my resolution to not comment on political stuff , so won’t be commenting any more in this thread.
A wasnt having a dig BTW!!! The whole worlds up **** creek so we’re only another nation feeling this ****
We've just spent the last week in the proximity of Sizewell. Banners and placards in abundance in the hope Sizewell C is vetoed which isn't just one reactor, they intend to build 2 and expect it to take 12-15 years to build. By which time they'll have had to build a temporary port, carve up land which is in the Natura 2000 category, higher priority than SSSI areas, for roads and access and impinge on RSPB Minsmere which it will be pretty flush up to. Sizewell A looks a huge square concrete carbuncle. B is due to reach the end of its useful life pretty soon so will change from a white round domed monstrosity to an even bigger concrete square monstrosity. And perhaps worth noting. The wind around there is pretty brisk even on a good day. We've more than enough technology already to adapt and make enough improvement to our homes to bring down our consumption. And thats what will make the difference. But it's almost like our government don't actually want us to reduce consumption.
