If we’d been promoted, would we still have had a boardroom coup?

I think some reading up on scientific theory and ‘cause and effect’ might help.

it’s useful to have a grasp of. Because 100% of people who don’t know the difference between causation and correlation end up dead.

I was more relating to how long the rift had been going on between the board members. Imagine if we’d gone up last year just as Conway’s tenure fronting the “investors” had expired. Bet he’d be bloody livid.

Yes, but we'd have kept Val, got a shed load of money so he could present himself as having done a top job and the " investors" he fronted for would no doubt have stuck with him.
What would have happened if we'd stayed up this season is a bit more in the balance imo.

If the rift was serious, they’d possibly still have got rid of Conway, Lee could maybe have hung on.

but the whole series of events leading to Conways ousting does pivot around his periods as CEO, I think we can all agree that led to serious failings round the club.

So; does promotion lead to keeping the team together, and does that therefore mean Conway hangs on a while longer? The only people that know the answer, don’t even have names we know.

Yes I think so. Issues go back further than last summer.
