How much does this amount of season ticket sale bring in ??,less than 2 million quid ?,if 4 players are on 5 grand a week that’s a million of it gone, how do we even survive on this ?
Exactly. If we have a player on 5k a week out of contract in 12 months time and sell said player for a million that's 1.5 million saved/made one way or another. So we'd have to sell 4-5 similar players to make up the loss.
Sure I read somewhere that we get a bit of a parachute payment from EFL for relegation from the Championship, not much but maybe puts our income from them to around £2m or possibly a little more. Plus the owners have put in the £1m. Still a dire situation mind….
With great difficulty. Parekh didn’t shy away from that last night. It’s basic maths. We will have to get the bigger earners off our wage bill. That’s no different to any other relegation season though.
7k st’s would be an achievement I’d say. I’ve just added one today, I’d already renewed for me and my son, but my youngest daughter (7, the one many of you sponsored for having her hair chopped off the other year) wants to come now too. Might not come to every game I guess but for a tenner, when match tickets are a fiver each, it’s a no brainer. Had to wait until today for the seat to be confirmed available before they could sell it to me. Only another tenner in the coffers but it’s another to add to the st numbers.
Also if certain players want to leave (which has been mentioned) and those are big earners ( £5k pkus a week) then its a no brainer to move them on. Unhappy/unmotivated player out of the club and cash in the coffers
just watched the press conference, what I got from it was that the other shareholders were not happy with how the club was being run and removed Lee and Conway and the earliest opportunity from the board, they no longer have any say in running of the club. Because of the sht state they've left it in I see a rebuilding project now on multiple levels over multiple years ahead,
Better comparing it to the last time in League One really. If we finish at 7,000 we’ll be neck and neck with Stendel’s season. A million miles off the predictions we saw on here. Given how awful last season was and how tough life outside of football is right now, I think 7,000 is pretty good going.
Better comparing how much cash in Stendell season and how much cash in this upcoming season. what with it being a mixture including OAP`s and kids tickets which have just been given an extension. Numbers give a very rough comparison.
I think I commented a month or so back I was expecting around 65% renewal rate as people wavered as the time got closer, so that seems pretty close to whats being reported. And obviously we had the board room changes that we saw from comments on here alone, had been enough to encourage some to renew, so it could well have been the case that we'd have had less still if those changes hadn't been made.
All true and I agree 7k would be good under the circumstances. Did we have 10k the year before we were relegated last time? Because its a real missed opportunity to progress.
People who have supported the club for years do find it very hard to not renew, so any glimmer of something better on the horizon they are going to jump at the chance to renew. It aint easy to take a stance under those conditions, we all have probably said enough is enough until renewal time at one point is our lives. Anyways to those have thought long and hard and found fresh hope and to those wiho the question never entered their minds good luck and I hope you get the season you deserve. Red Army.
I agree with you , under the present financial climate & following a disastrous season i think 7k would be good return
I’ve added another 4 tickets this morning, admittedly all under 14s but another £48 in the coffers ( £2 pick up fee )
5,840 blue dots. No, I didn't count them. I used development tools on chrome to see how many available items there are on the page.
