Thought this was going to be a thread about a small team from a small South Yorkshire town with a coal mining heritage that dared to reach the dizzy heights of the Premier League. A Premier League that really didn’t want them there. Daydream Believers, or summat like that.
I still think if Danny Wilson had have had faith in the players that got him there we'd have stayed up.
That was a brilliant Notts Florist team back then, under Clough & Taylor. In the days when the European cup was a proper competition, and even the League cup meant a lot then. If only Clough (& Taylor) had got the England job, who knows what might have happened.
