Think the larger sales last year was down to some anticipating Premier League Football

About 1,000 since the announcement. We’d surpassed 5,000 before Thursday.

That's a large boost in a very short space of time then.

It is. But selling 5,000 before the announcement is as many, if not more, than Preston, and a lot more than some people on here were reporting.

We sold 7,000 for the Stendel season. Comparing against that is a sign of the level of support in my mind, rather than looking at the drop off from Champ to League One.

Selling around 5k is what I was expecting. I suppose its hard to make a direct comparison, did we have 10k the year before we went down last time?
We have the economic fall out from Covid going on too.
As I say I'm more impressed with the 1k surge than anything else.

Agree to disagree on this one mate. Given you sell around 85% of your season tickets on early bird, hitting 5,000+ with a few days still left and finance just launching is about par with the last time we were relegated. I'm sure most of us, me included, expected us to be well below that given the sentiment you read and hear.

Important meeting on 27th May as that could see us selling more than the last time we were in League One.

Is that 85% a figure someone at the club has quoted you? I only ask as I'm a little surprised its as high ad 15% buying post early bird.
Don't think we disagree too much we are both impressed/surprised by the sales just in slightly different ways.
Yes I hope we get a update as the early bird ends on sales would be very interesting to see how many more we sell by extending the deadline and after 27th.

I read it somewhere as an average in an article. Might be outdated. It means if you sell 10,000 then roughly 1500 of those come in before the season or just after the season starts.
