Yes that a minority suggested but most estimated around 6000 and over two weeks after the original early bird period ended we are at that number
Around what I expected, currently over a 40% drop. Given the shifted deadlines and ConLee having their grips loosened, I'd like to think we might push up to 70-75% of last seasons circa 10k. Anything more than that given last season would be an extraordinary feat.
Would be interesting to see the timeline for the sales. But yes it's a very encouraging amount, let's be clear we all want the club to prosper. If this board shake up can lead to a better rway of operating I think we'll all be happy.
I've gone from adamant I wouldn't renew to starting to consider it, so if other feels he same you never know.
Though the circumstances of this season have been very different, in past years we've seen plenty of toing and froing with people often saying they won't renew ultimately doing so. I do think if ConLee hadn't been outmanoeuvred we would have had a massive drop off. Though even if we end up with 7-8k, it's still a chunky drop in revenue on top of the loss of TV monies. Prior to covid and ignoring last years very high ST number, what were our usual numbers? If we're dropping back to those levels and no further, it's not as harmful if we see last seasons sales as an anomaly.
I think we had been around 8/9K championship and about 7.5k I seem to think in league one (happy to be corrected) My line of thinking is a major change in leadership has clearly been made so I'm willing to adopt a wait and see. This is coupled with I don't particularly want to lose my seat if I then decide to come back the season after. I think i may be trying to talk myself into getting one
I won't be renewing, but now it is more for personal reasons. I need to work on a Saturday & also look after my Dad. If positive news continues I hope I can make as many games as I can. Pleased the board room change has created positivity. Some way to go & I don't expect us to be at the top end of the table early next season, whoever is appointed, it will take some adjustment.
Absolutely. Would be interesting to see how much of an uptick there was after the board announcement. But it’s an encouraging number at this stage, given the year we’ve had. Hopefully the press conference on the 27th and a payday can lead to another uptick
I`d be happy with 7000 the way things have gone, plus the bandwaggon jumpers when we`re storming the league.
I think storming the league is optimistic, but won't **** on your fire. I think we need to be realistic myself & look at rebuilding the club, which may take a few seasons, like it did when we finally came up under Ritchie. It may take time.
This is an important point. Because it took years to get into a position whereby we had players on decent contract lengths and weren't having to rebuild a team every season like we used to. Unfortunately where we are now, we need to rebuild. Quite a bit. So we likely may not be able to stagger contracts over 2 or 3 seasons, like we've just blown should our better players already move on in the summer. So we may get someone very good, but lose them after 12 months. The trick is to not lose nearly an entire team. That might take 3 or 4 years now to build back up. What a ******* mess we are in.
Would be nice to get 7k but dont blame people for been reluctant after the season we have just endured thanks to conman and co
