Mccarthy just got a yellow card, looks to be doing OK.

Seeing Jason McCarthy in a play-off side gives me some confidence.

That's how to hold on to a lead well done Jason and Josh, enjoy Wembley!

Two very contrasting styles. MK Don's knock it about well, Wycombe organised and all about set pieces.
Have to say though, to get 89 points and miss out automatically and in the play offs, feel a bit sorry for MK. They've been by far the better team and Wycombe rather fortunate. 89 points would have been enough to go up automatically the previous season.

Very lucky Helen. Not a pretty side but effective. Feel for MK Dons who played them off the park tonight.
That being said I do hope they win at Wembley!

Wycombe were robbed by the EFL and Derby of staying in the championship last season. Poetic justice if they go up as Derby go down!

Poya could learn a lot from Ainsworth on how to protect a lead, and our owners could learn a lot as to what age and experience can do

Didn’t they go up via a controversial PPG table though? Swings and roundabouts.

    Pleased for Scowen.

Rather see Wycombe go up than Wednesday (if they get to the final that is).

Not really, the clubs agreed to stopping the league and it so happened that the system they used benefitted them. They still had to get through the play offs and Wembley, suggests that they'd have been there or thereabouts if the season had continued.

Mk Dons tried walking it in the bit I watched. That right wingers delivery was crap. They didn't get it out left on the overlap and when they did Parrott nearly levelled in stoppage time.

Trying to be like Man City without the tackle to do it.

They do remind me a lot of that Swansea side in '06. Real quality all over

Who knows though? We’d have been relegated had the championship also done that.

Yes, and probably deservedly so. Think people have forgotten quite how poor we were prior to lockdown, the last 2 home games Struber had us playing for a draw. We, like Wycombe, benefitted from lockdown.

On another note 40 year old Akinfenwa at Wembley!

Possibly but for integrity, I feel it should’ve been fully completed. That’s old ground anyway though.

He will certainly make it more entertaining, he is quite remarkable!

I agree that the season should have been completed but the lower leagues woukd have struggled financially to see the Covid season out.

Really poor the way MKD stuck the Wycombe fans up in the top tier and then split them into two wide apart sections, and only giving them 2,000 tickets. We filled that whole end when we beat them in the cup a few years ago. I know why they did what they did so it’s poetic justice that Wycombe got through.

I wouldn't say it's poor. It's not called home advantage for nothing. They did something to try and help themselves out. Nothing wrong with that.

Much better than when clubs build changing rooms right next to the away end or build a stand that can be split but never use it for the purpose it was built for.

I understand why they did it. Newcastle did it to us that 6th round game where they split the away support into small pockets. I just don’t like it. Wycombe would have sold 3 or 4,000 more tickets if they’d been given the allocation and I’d sooner see the Oakwell away end full rather than swathes of empty or covered seats. Not that we’re likely to see that much next season of course.

How did Conor Wickham end up at MK Dons. March last year he was with Crystal Palace only 29 should be in his prime.
