I didn't realise (after just looking) how close the promotion/play off race is. Permatations if if worked it out correct (ps we can't make either). Biggie tonight, Bournemouth v Forest which is there game in hand before the final day. A draw takes the 2nd place into the last game for automatic. A Bournemouth win secures them to the PL. A Forest win and they go above The Cherries and it goes to the last day. Phew. Huddy are just in play offs either way regardless. Sheff Utd and Luton could still miss out on the playoffs going into the last day. Millwall are the only team who could still sneak in on the last day depending on theirs and Sheff Utd and Luton's results. If only ................. Hope I've worked it out right.
I think you'll find that most have lost interest in that end of the table. In fact, lost interest altogether!
Hence my last 'if only' comment. Just highlights our demise once again. I'm trying everything to try and help my love for the game remain until it will inevitably totally disappear. All I will add is 12 months ago we were everyone's neutral team to do the 'impossible'. Even the relegated teams supporters were right behind us. I suppose I'm hanging onto that memory in hope really more than anything else.
Can see Forest beating Bournemouth and getting second place. Been in top form since Christmas. I hope they do, not got a lot of time for Parker and Bournemouth. Another plastic club propped up by wealthy owners. Play offs could be interesting, not a stand out team among them. Got a sneaky feeling Huddersfield might win them, seem most consistent.
I'd like to see Forest back in the top flight. Proper big club like Wolves. Nice to have a few more giants of the game up there. Just need Leeds to stay up along with Everton and Sheffield Wednesday and Derby to spout wings. Then there's Tom Finney's Preston. They haven't been there for a while.
Prefer Wednesday to stay where they are lol. I used to work with a lot of their fans for many years and still have a bit of an irrational dislike for them.
Millwall are at Bournemouth and have to win. They’ll still only make the playoffs if Luton lose and Boro fail to win so it’s a big ask. By the sounds of it Luton are struggling with injuries. It would be a shame if they didn’t make it as they’ve had a great season.
Watching the cherry’s games it’s simply embarrassing the gap in quality to us, I know budgets, etc, but it’s like they’re playing a different game - both teams- energy, speed, movement, passing - miles ahead.
