I take it the Club haven’t announced the figure. Very unprofessional that. Still, consistency in being crap is important.
Says it all when the club are too ashamed to give the crowd out. Conman won't be pleased thousands cannot be bothered going to something they have already paid for.
If everyone who attended tonight stole a traffic cone on their way home, there would still have been plenty of cones left around the ground.
Very empty in the home ends for sure. I thought the Blackpool fans were decent. I’m guessing there will be more Preston fans than us on Saturday.
I genuinely don't think it's legal when those figures are used to attract sponsors and advertiser's who are misled about how many people will see their ads.
Very empty around me. Not surprised, nothing to play for, evening match. Meant I got home nice and early though.
I agree with you to a certain extent and that is that I think that even at 4,500 (my unscientific estimate) there were more there than there would have been if Asbaghi had still been in charge. Of the 10 of us that went, only 2 were going to go until PA's departure. A couple of our group went to say 'au revoir' to the 'old girl' Oakwell for a while as they won't be renewing and can't make Saturday. I'll be doing the same on Saturday. That still meant that there were 400% more of us than would have been the case without the PA change and there were others sat (scattered!) near us that were saying similar. So I think you were partly right if you were making the assumption on the basis of there being more than there could have been and the comment about you being on a wind-up further up the thread is a bit unseemly imho. I'm starting to realise just the extent to which the way the club is being run has affected long-standing relationships fans had with the club.
Guessing Setdy will be grim too, might not bother fancy a booze after but can’t see why I bother apart from I’ve been to every league game this year at home.
If they'd been playing in my back garden I'd have shut the curtains and gone out. I might go on Saturday, just out of curiosity as to what happens at full time. Do the knobheads still invade the pitch? Do the players even bother doing anything to honour the fans? Does Paul Conway commit seppuku on the centre spot? After this season I've no ******* clue what happens.
There’ll be a pitch invasion, of course. Can’t spoil the little darling’s fun can we? It will be surreal though when, half an hour later, players come back down the tunnel to find everyone has gone home. All 3,000 of them, just drifted away with long faces. This season just needs to end
On Saturday, the stadium announcer will be saying: "Please don't all go home at the end of the game" instead of "Don't run on the pitch at the end of the game"
Heard most playersare going to get white feathers rather than flowers Now that's food for thought lol
