JACK WALTON PRE-HUDDERSFIELD Interviews The goalkeeper helped preview Friday night's trip to Huddersfield Town. Continue reading on the official site...
Are these interviews a contractual obligation? If not, I'd seriously consider just not bothering with them.
Probably, sent the keeper who hasn't been playing out as he's largely blamess for this mess. A bit like when the cricket team send out the bowler who made a 50 after the batting line up collapsed.
Bring back the good old days when they interviewed someone in the pre-match presser and you knew they were the one that wasn't playing. They'd got the job talking to the press as the short straw. It's happened to Hondermarck a couple of times this season.
Joking aside. Hondermarck is the latest in a growing list of players mistreated by the club. Mowatt, Mcgeehan, Pinnock, Roberts, Mallan, Knasmullner, Benson, ICD and Kane. All in their time with us have been farmed out on loan or dropped from the side at no fault of their own when better options weren't available. Nobodies seen ICD play yet. I'm sure he must have something.
Will has never done a pre-match press conference. We choose who does it. And because Jack Walton's barely played, it was his turn, now that he is playing. For anyone asking what the point of these pressers is, it is indeed a contractual obligation. Whereas, post-match, player interviews aren't. But we usually do one regardless.
Do the players and coaching staff ever receive media training? Just wondered, as every single interview is pretty much the same regarding answers given. Whether we're winning or losing, the same generic stuff is spouted. It really doesn't seem to give the fans anything to be interested in or inspired by.
To be fair, whilst it would be honest and amusing, a player can't exactly come out and say.... "Well, we are a bit **** aren't we, hopefully we might get a decent effort on goal tonight, and not capitulate again"
I was think more along the lines of "if I play well tonight my Mrs says she'll wear something kinky while she's making me my beans and chicken dinosaurs".
