There's no phrase more nauseating that "can't wait for League One, at least we'll win some games" Personally, I'd rather not have FA Cup Round 1, a total media blackout and no experienced players because of their lack of resale value.
Counted potentially nine grounds I haven’t been to depending on the four that come out of League 2. Some reight trips to come.
The way we have played this season, and how little fight the players show coupled with how little physicality we have, without a lot of new players brought in this shower will struggle to finish higher than the bottom third of league 1.
We didn't get any experienced players this season! You forgot no international breaks. I probably won't be watching us next season, but to me that was always the biggest benefit of going down.
I am not too bothered about going to the so called bigger clubs like Sunderland or Wednesday. Rotherham if they don't go up. Fleetwood, Bolton and Accrington again. Of grounds I haven't been to probably Ipswich to cross off at least one of the Old Farm derby. Plymouth maybe for the day out. Lincoln to cross that one off. Morecambe to complete the old ground new ground double. Maybe the two boat race clubs. As for coming up FGR to say I was there when we played them for the first time. Exeter would be a trek but we've not played them in my lifetime so it might have to be crossed off whilst I have the chance. Sutton, Tranmere, Mansfield or Salford through the play offs wouldn't be bad. So could be double figures worth of potential away trips depending on when the fixtures take place (queue Tuesday night in Exeter/Plymouth) and if those representing us next season give us a reason to follow them away.
There's three new grounds for me - that will be great. The Division is full of 'heavyweights' and (more importantly) heavyweights with far more ambition than us. Finishing above the bottom four will be success. I'm sure Mr C will think the same.
Hopefully the fixture list falls in a way that means we don’t have international breaks, or a break for the World Cup.
Don't get me wrong, I look forward to every season despite what league we're in, Prem,Champ,One or Two
