After visiting Rotterdam (stayed on a car park next to the Feyenoord stadium), Amsterdam, Bruges and Ypres, we have just parked up on the Bois de Boulogne (Paris). Weather was iffy in Holland but ok in Belgium and lovely today. Going to leg it into the city soon...

Oh I remember the old days. You could get on a ferry with the car, drive where you like, stay as long as you like.

    Luxury…..

No it was a lovely sunny day. When we got there loads of roads were shut off and parking was almost impossible. There was an artsy festival on, the place was heaving. We went in a cemitary and read a few gravestones, lost count of the ones that died on 17th February 1915.....

I think you're right, not a "loads of cinemas and sex shops" red light district, but when we cycled back last night, there were lots of scantily clad young ladies on the roads in front of Longchamps racecourse and cars suddenly stopping for no apparent reason...:eek:

yes you go into the woods with them, allegedly, when we went they had a mobile burger van set up, our lass said "I bet not many get the hotdogs, they will be sick of the sight of sausages", also male prostitutes hang out there so to speak, not for female Parisians but for the males, gay Paris and all that or was that from a different and on the surface more innocent time
