    The latest rankings are out ahead of the draw tomorrow. England are seeded sixth. Think I'd take Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, or Croatia from pot 2 so we definitely avoid Serbia, Poland and Wales/Ukraine/Scotland in the other pots.

    Not sure I would. I'd be alright with the Pot 3 and Pot 4 European teams.

    Is it definitely only two European teams per group? I know the other federations can't meet each other at the group stage. It's going to be a massively confusing draw tomorrow.

    EDIT: You are right:

    FIFA prefers to not have any two teams from the same qualifying zones (Asia, Africa, CONCACAF, South America, Oceana, Europe) end up in the same group.

    The exception is Europe, which qualifies 13 teams. Because there are so many, each group will have at least one team from Europe, but none will have more than two.

    Mexico, Serbia and Costa Rica would be tough. Likewise Germany, Japan, Wales. Although I'm not entirely sure these combinations can happen.

    Can't have the first since Mexico and Costa Rica are both CONCACAF, can't have Germany and Wales as that'd be three UEFA teams including us.

    I'd like to avoid Serbia/Poland because that'd mean we'd be in a group with them and Mexico/Uruguay. Bit of a tricky one to negotiate.

    Monday 21 Nov, Friday 25 Nov, Tuesday 29 Nov for our group games. We'll play either the winner or runner up of Qatar's group, if we qualify. If we win our group & second round and France win theirs it'll be us v France in the 1/4 Final.
