Been reading that they had 11 first team players missing due to injury yesterday. One academy kid in their starting 11 Another 5 from their academy on the bench. McBurnie Brewster McGoldrick all out leaving them just Billy Sharp as their only fit striker. Rumour has it they have been blaming the state of their training pitches for their large number of injuries
This. We play our best and see what happens. I'd be delighted to scrape a draw, go into the break with that positive feeling of being unbeaten.
They're expecting McBurnie back on Saturday, and probably Fleck as well as one or two others. Shame it's not at Oakwell. Can't be confident of us getting much away from home, given our record.
I'm more bothered about Reading's game to be honest. If Blackburn can avoid defeat, then we can go above Reading if we beat them. Anything we get will be a bonus. Thought the same last week as well.
Me too. Blackburn's away record is shocking recently. It's definitely a winnable game for Reading and coupled with a defeat for us it would be a pretty bad day.
Yeah, there’s going to be a few twists yet. One thing is certain, we won’t win the next two and then stay out of the bottom three throughout. Blackburn’s form has been shocking both home and away, mainly because they’ve been so poor in front of goal. Hopefully scoring three in midweek will give them a boost.
I once went to an event as a scout at their training ground. It was appalling then and that was ten years ago.
Three of the academy players that they had on the bench in midweek played for their u23s today, so they must be getting a few back for tomorrow
The ref we've already had twice this season and drawn both games 1-1 home to Birmingham and Huddersfield. I would take a third consecutive 1-1 with him in charge.
