Not embarrassing for me mate. More power to their elbow. **** the wigan fans **** the Reading fans And **** anyone else who takes the pi55.
It strikes me as yet another pitiful attempt to cover Conways failures. We're rightly in the relegation zone as one of the three worst teams in the league (arguably the worst).
Each to their own. But to me is tragic. Even if the report is true and we have done this and the EFL dock Reading more points, we are only saving Derby anyway as we will end up below them come May anyway so its petty and pointless. We are just saving another club who has breached the rules.
The club to my knowledge take every opportunity to pull the EFL to task. It's a case of we shouldn't have to appeal anything. The EFL is corrupt in its handling of such affairs. Our owners were prepared to fight Wigans appeal and rightly so. As for last season. We would have stood alongside Wycombe. As would many other clubs. Hope they win compensation.
Derby are not out of the mire. By a long chalk. You've assumed ( possibly but not definitely) we will finish below Derby. But whilst there's hope of anything. I'll take it without any misgivings. One thing it isn't. is petty. Its watching those who cheat. suffer the consequences of their mismanagement.
The EFL is corrupt with this you are right and we shouldn't have to report anyone as the EFL should have proper rules and guidelines in place that they govern properly. But with that been said, just us kicking off and grassing up a few clubs isn't going to do anything, they have shown time and time again that they won't issue severe punishment so what's the point? If the owners genuinely wanted to make a serious change they would need to contact other owners in the league and get a group together to make a serious and much needed change. They aren't doing that, instead we are just running to the EFL when it suits as a way to try and scrape ourselves out of the situation. That is what we did with the Wigan stuff and that is what it seems we are doing now.
Paul Conway, to be fair to him, usually has a sound bite every year on the cheating from other teams in the EFL. Regardless of how we're doing. Correct me if I'm wrong as well, but didn't we put our name to a vote that supported penalties last season? The fact you're so passive about this is a really, really strange stance to take. You're essentially saying 'why bother' and saying let clubs carry on cheating. If supporters are this passive then no wonder we've had some weak as p*ss performances on the pitch.
'Grassing on others'. Mate you need to give your head a wobble. It's not grassing if the cheating is out there in the public domain.
Glad we are going after cheats, which is what is in our best interests to do. Reading should be getting points off this season. That article is poor journalism to stick up for Reading when they are in the wrong.
They aren't no but they easily beat us this weekend, we have a tough run coming up and over the course of the season have proved much better than us so it would be safe to assume they will finish above us unless they go bust between now and the end of the season which may happen but I don't think it will.
So we shouldn't challenge is your opinion. Sorry. but not in my world. Where we sit back without a fight. They've got it massively wrong re the strategy on the field. But it doesn't make em wrong to fight cheating irrespective of where we are in the league. They have taken to task the EFL' s poor handling of the rules. On many occasion. Most of the time it doesn't make headlines cos it's just dialogue not worthy of reporting. They have done it with every CEO. During their tenure. We allow cheats to win. But clubs fighting for fair play are petty. ? Like I say the timing is in the clubs best interests. What am I missing. Yoooooooo redddddddds
Thanks Mister Whitey, this has got me absolutely pumped for tomorrow nights game! Hope we get into em & smash em to pieces! If we can beat Boro we can beat Stoke.
We won't fight. We belly ache. They threaten things they never follow through on. Frankly it's pathetic. We're the worst team in the league. Own it.
Their were many on here mate . who said we wouldn't win another game a month ago. Also said we would finish up with less points than Rotherham. I too had given up hope around that time. But now, whilst ever there's hope. I'll take anything coming.
I don't see the point if its just us doing it. If they really want to change something you need to support of the majority otherwise it is one small voice shouting against the others. Us running to the EFL asking about sanctions on another club isn't going to help anything, everyone else may not agree but that is just how I see it personally. The board should also be prioritising our own affairs rather than those of the other clubs in this league. If they had spent more time and money improving the squad etc. we wouldn't be sat below a team that was deducted 21 points and sat 6 points behind another who were docked 6 earlier in the season. We need to focus on getting our own stuff sorted out rather than trying to get the EFL to help us. I don't like that clubs are splashing cash they don't have and getting away with it, money is killing the game. But my point is that just doing what we are doing isn't enough and doing it in the position we are in makes us look desperate.
I hope we do stay up I really do. I would rather we did it though through merit rather than due to us having to rely on teams getting points docked cos we ran to the EFL
If whatever compo they've paid their old manager and the three new signings break the business case they agreed to when suspending 6 of their 12 point deduction, then Reading wouldn't be staying up on merit. They'd be doing it by cheating. Same applies if the latest year of losses goes against what the EFL were expecting.
Let the cheats win regardless. The players have shown spirit in the last few games The crowd have got behind em at home. No one has questioned where we are in the league cos of performance. I'm questioning having to play against teams who cheat the system. Cheats should not only be deducted points. But relegated. Attempting like wigan to take their punishment in the knowledge that they thought they were in such good form at the time. They'd avoid relegation. Swindon were relegated for irregularities. But Tottenham didn't suffer the same fate. One rule for the minions and another for the elite.
Are we challenging the other cheats then? Or just the ones where we have a realistic chance of going above them after a points deduction?
