Anyone know the terms of the loan deal ? He hasn't even appeared on the bench for Molenbeek yet.If they are paying any part of his wages surely they would send him back.

No it's all a bit secretive. Barnsley announced a loan till the end of the season with the club monitoring his progress, Molenbeek announced a two year loan with no intention of playing him this season. Doug O'Kane was sent a link to the Molenbeek article and then tweeted wrote that it was a 2 year deal

I'm guessing they aren't paying anything and he is still well and truly on our books. PR stunt.

They wouldn't be able to send him back until it was either their or our transfer windows could they?

It's a loan deal, so I think they could

Yeah but I'm pretty sure other than goalkeepers, you can only make & end loans during a transfer window. Stops teams from bringing back/sending back players if it ends up the helping the club the player is contracted to. I.e Djed Spence, Boro' can't just recall him whenever now they're direct rivals for play offs with nottingham forest.

I think that's what is is nowadays matey.

So if a player gets injured, and the club who is loaning no longer wants to pay for that player, what happens?

They can send him back whenever they want (presumably with our agreement) but we couldn't play him.
Whether it's a permanent transfer or a loan a players registration can only move between clubs during transfer windows

Isn't that only when we pay 100% of their loan wages now? Otherwise the club has basically just lost a player for a season/half season, since he can't register until a window opens. Loss of money on wages?

I have no idea mate. Presumably there would be a clause in the contract. I might be wrong ofcourse, there's plenty of technicalities within Fifa rules these days

No that's always the case. A loan is a temporary transfer just like a normal transfer is a more permanent one. In both cases you lose a player if you transfer him out of the club and lose a player if they get injured.

Okay just read, you're right, you can return a player but must be agreed by both clubs. Makes you wonder who this actually benefits at all in regards to Oulare? Surely going down as the worst signing of all time? Considering his reported wages

I guess the initial 6 month loan was purely to get him away from the squad and back to his home country. The next 6 month option would involve some sort of wage contribution if he actually plays, which he won't.

We'll end up selling a player to fund his pay off in the summer.

God help us if Conway is ever acting CEO again.
