    I think people are downplaying Khaled going to the Manx because it's not somewhere they visit or something they would have left the house for. But if you strip it back, the pub is a hub for Barnsley fans, the walls probably play host to the best/most memorabilia in town, and it's one of c.5 pubs that takes a coach full of supporters to every single away game including pre-season friendlies.

    It's surely a positive that a CEO is prepared to go and spend time with supporters in an environment like that? I know many CEOs not in the situation that we're in, who wouldn't even read the invite or entertain the idea.

    I agree which is a shame as last season it was great. It's too thin and full of adverts or kids pages. The paper It's made with is weak as piss too. It doesn't take much to get creases but the shiny cover I've been banging on about for years will never happen.

    I’d definitely have it as a positive and good thing to do. I wouldn’t link this to regular monthly communication with fan groups. I feel the opposite to you if I were CE at this point I would be exploring all options and avenues to shore up my customers/revenue stream.

    Probably as many supporters at The Manx as what turn up in the Legends Suite. Difference being you got an official announcement on the website for the latter, but the number of fans communicated with in person is probably the same.

    Would prefer communication at the times it is needed as oppose to it being strictly once a month. He'd soon be accused of being ******** Ben and loving the sound of his own voice if he never said anything new (which is likely right now).

    Fair points. I’m just not convinced that monthly communication is being honoured in the spirit the commitment was made. Then again I thought Ben was easily the best we have had in that role.

    Yes I've noticed that too. I've got programmes that are 30 year old in pristine condition. Every one I've bought this season is a battered mess just from being held on my way home from the match. Never seen a programme made from such poor quality paper before
