There were soldiers still fighting until a surrender was accepted so yes it was negotiated albeit the allies had the upper hand .

Bit weird this. You can literally go on his Twitter page & see his criticism of Putin.

He’s one of the few MP’s that’s regularly condemned Putin over the years whilst many of our other MP’s have sucked up to him.

You can be critical of NATO & also think Putin’s a nut job who needs to stop / be stopped.

Posting facts doesn’t help some peoples narrative’s though .
If the Torys want an hate figure some people are inclined to help them out whatever the true story is .

I am curious as to how @stairfoot.red will contrive to ignore facts such as this,
And the ones where the Tories buried the Russia report, are far slower than the rest of Europe at imposing sanctions and are giving Russian organizations and oligarchs time to move their money before clamping down on them...

And the fact that the Tories have been funded by the Russians for years ...

And that there is clear evidence that for over a decade Putin has been waging a cyber war on Europe and the US influencing things like the Brexit vote which the Tories have fully embraced (and been paid for)...

There are many reasons why Putin thought he had weakened the West enough to get away with Annexing the whole of Ukraine quite a few can be seen to be enabled by our corrupt Tory Government

I'm far from a Corbyn fan but I cant see a single reason to attack Corbyn on this - he has many flaws but none of them are remotely relevant here
Stairfoot Red might be better advised to direct his ire at the current Prime Minister and his stooges

I blame Conway. His name is a bit like Corbyn’s but slightly different.

The number of people in Barnsley who claim not to be Tory supporters and always vote Labour yet clearly hold fairly right wing views is amazing. The fact is that the Labour vote in Barnsley is significantly made up of people with Conservative opinions but who vote Labour because they're working class and the Tories are the party of the bosses.

You forgot Racists , the number of people I’ve spoke to who start with I’m not Racist “but” and then spout racist rhetoric is significant .
    Especially the Brexit debates .

It takes two to tango and whilst the invasion is clearly Putin's doing, NATO has gone some way to antagonising Putin into doing it.

Maybe you should. We'll give you a shout when you can breathe out ;)

Corbyn's record on Russia and Vladimir Putin:

    • 2001: condemns Putin’s actions in Chechnya
    • 2010: accuses Putin of rigging elections and calls for asset freeze
    • 2012: called for a UK version of the US Magnitsky Act imposing sanctions on Russia
    • 2014: calls for Russian arms corporations to be barred from the UK
    • 2016: accuses Putin of war crimes in Syria
    • 2019: condemns Russian influence in UK politics and calls for release of Russia report on that influence, which the Tories withheld
    • 2022: Corbyn condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Quick question what are you basing your thought pattern on re corbyn
Surely not the lies and deceit that the Tory owned gutter daily rags peddled when he ran for office..
..in my opinion he's not a weather vain politician ....id rather him be in charge that the lying barstewards we have now....id feel a lot safer with JC at the helm than I guess most do at the minute.....I'm not sticking up for Putin and his stance ...as I think he's wrong doing what he's done but the Yanks aren't sqeaky clean in all this sh1thousery that's taking place....strip it back to the bare bones that gas line into Europe certainly hits the yanks in the pocket if it gets operational....never mind the close bond between Germany and Russia that would.... develop ...look outside the box....the yanks have invested heavily in the Ukraine and stand to lose a lot in the Ukraine in mineral rights alone...
The ones suffering are the innocent once again...
My heart goes out to the Ukraine people once again deemed collateral damage to those in power

Amazing that an organisation called ‘Stop the War’ wants to stop wars.

Maybe you should start your own Start The War campaign group.

Have you been as vocal condemning the bombing by Saudi Arabia of Yemeni Schools with the bombs we sold them?
