    Good enough start in the only preparation game ( 251/4 )
    Starting eleven is likely to remain same for first test next Monday.

    On a lighter note, the much anticipated occurrence of Stokes, Foakes and Woakes has taken place !
    I’m a happy man now !

    I saw a fair bit on you tube and it was a good reserved innings…
    The standard of bowling was poor but he certainly took advantage.

    I haven’t see any news yet but Wood didn’t bowl at all in their first 30 odd overs and that fact is somewhat worrying.
    Has anyone heard anything ?

    Just part of the 12. Stokes hasn't bowled either. Nothing to be concerned about other than Robinson and Woakes being a bit toothless as an opening attack. I think Leach has taken one of the wickets.

    Robinson went off yesterday with back spasms and Wood is a doubt for 1st Test with some undisclosed illness, so he didn’t feature in 3 days of practice game.

    They both may be alright for next Tuesday but we must be looking at replacements ?
    Surely they won’t ask Broad and Anderson.

    Stokes hasn’t bowled either but he qualifies as a batter

    im fitter then Robinson and I work behind a desk everyday and am 50 years old. By the time he's on his third spell he'll be bowling underarm.

    By his own admission he was a bit of a wrong un when at Yorkshire during his late teens.
    He was actually sacked ( or un-retained !)

    Not suggesting he’s still a bad boy but just saying !
